15th Special Edition - AQUATIC DIVISION FINS ~ SINGLES
Share
AQUATIC DIVISION is BEACHED DAYS' surf gear line. Following the new standard surfboards, which perfectly reproduce Chris Christenson's masterpieces with soft top + EPS core, and wetsuits developed by brand founder Mitch Abshier through repeated testing in California, the brand also fully launched its fin lineup last year.

The first product released, SINGLES, is an all-around basic that can be paired with boards of all categories: shortboards, mid-lengths, logs, 2+1, and gliders. Typically, longboards have dedicated longboard templates, and shortboards and mid-lengths also have their own specific templates. However, SINGLES can accommodate various boards by simply changing the size of the same model.
The 9.5 and 10-inch fins are for single-fin logs and nose riders in the 9-foot range. The 7.5 to 8.5-inch fins are for shortboards from late 6 feet to mid-lengths and 2+1 boards up to late 8 feet. For speed-shape glider boards, the 9.0-inch and stepped-down 8.5-inch fins are also popular, and they work perfectly with all tail shapes from round pin to square.

The George Greenough 4A, a timeless basic template perfected in California in the 60s and still used by many surfers worldwide, serves as the foundation for SINGLES. While inheriting the basic aspects of the 4A type, SINGLES has been refined to address its drawbacks and handling difficulties. The specific differences include a wider base, which enhances straight-line stability and balance during walking to noseriding. Additionally, the foil (cross-section) maintains a moderate thickness throughout, providing a stronger sense of drive. The tip shape is also less tapered, resulting in a stronger hold during turns and noseriding.
Derek Hynd, who led Captain Fin's golden age with Mitch Abshier, is in charge of design and production for AQUATIC DIVISION fins. The high quality of the product, finalized after extensive testing by riders both domestically and internationally, is guaranteed. A single fin dramatically changes the feel of the ride. Among them, SINGLES is an all-around usable template suitable for all skill levels and basically matches any type of board, so beginners to professionals can't go wrong with this one fin to start.
This year, AQUATIC DIVISION fins will be releasing not only single fins but also modified versions of existing twin and mid-length models, so stay tuned for future developments!
