- First, remove any mud or dirt from the surface. Wash with a solution of 1 tablespoon of baking soda dissolved in 250ml of water. For stubborn stains, soak for 2-3 hours and then scrub. Wipe thoroughly with a towel and always air dry in a well-ventilated, shaded area. An eraser can also be effective for spot cleaning the sole.
