Chris Christenson is a living legend who spearheaded the San Diego fish surf movement, is undoubtedly the world's best at big wave gun shaping, and continues to create legendary boards in mid-length and twin-fin styles.

The Christenson Surfboards longboard model "THE CLIFF," which has its roots in the designs of California legend Phil Edwards, who dominated the surfing world in the 1960s, has been completely recreated with a soft top and EPS core.

At first glance, it's a log with a classic outline of a pointed nose and pintail. But at its core, it's a speed shape that combines elements of a glider and a nose rider, with Chris's signature modern update perfectly applied.

Featuring three bamboo stringers, this board offers just the right amount of weight and flex, providing a ride comparable to PU surfboards. From beach breaks to larger reefs, it delivers speed, trim, and glide that you wouldn't expect from a soft-top board, allowing you to experience the true essence of longboarding.

You can choose from three lengths: 9'0", 9'5", and 9'11".

The exterior features a 4mm thick IXPE foam on the deck surface and an HDPE skin on the bottom surface, creating a soft surface using vacuum bag technology.

You can use your own fin screws, but they may occasionally be difficult to tighten, so we recommend using the included fin screws.

Before use

If exposed to high temperatures or direct sunlight for extended periods, bubbles may form on the board or the color may fade. Store the board in a cool, dry place away from direct sunlight and heat. Do not leave it in a car for extended periods. Due to the nature of the materials used in soft boards, some water absorption is normal and not a defect. This water is usually drained after use.

About maintenance

After use, always rinse the board with fresh water to remove dirt, sand, and salt, wipe it dry with a clean cloth or towel, and store it in a cool, dry place away from direct sunlight. Do not use solvents or cleaners on the board.
Before storing the board in a board bag or board socks, rinse it with fresh water, wipe it clean, and let it dry.

When driving with the board mounted on a car's roof rack or similar before all the water has drained, a thin, top-only waterproof cover is convenient. It prevents water from dripping from the board and allows it to dry easily. Remove the cover and drain the water when you get home.

Regarding color unevenness on the deck surface

Occasionally, you may receive a board with slight color variations on the deck surface. These are due to the manufacturing process and do not affect performance or ride comfort, so please use with confidence. We send boards with minimal color variations from our inventory whenever possible, but please note that we do not accept returns or exchanges due to color variations.
