All-around Basic Model "Singles"

SINGLES is an all-around basic fin suitable for all categories of boards: single fin shortboards, mid-lengths, logs, 2+1 setups, and gliders.
If you're lost when choosing a fin, we recommend starting with this all-around basic, SINGLES.

This is an all-around type with excellent turning and stability, not a special pivot-shaped fin dedicated to noseriding. Based on the universal basic template completed in California in the 60s and still used worldwide, Derek Hynd, who led Captain Fin's golden age with Mitch Abshere, newly designed this fin, adjusting the base width, tip shape, foil (thickness), and more.

The 7.5-inch size is recommended for single fins in the 6-7 foot range and as a center fin for 2+1 setups.

Fiberglass Characteristics

Fiberglass fins are made by laminating fabric used in surfboards and hardening them with resin. After cutting out the shape, each fin is hand-sanded to finish. Due to the characteristics of fiberglass, the fin flexes appropriately during turns and then returns (rebounding force), providing drive to the board.

An original case with the Aquatic Division logo is also included.

How to Choose

7.5”, 8.0”: For single fins in the 6-7 foot range, and as a center fin for 2+1 setups.
8.5”: For single fins in the 7-8 foot range, and for glider-style boards with less rocker.
9.0”: For longboards in the early 9-foot range.
9.5”, 10.0”: Best for all longboards in the 9-foot range, and when seeking turning ability in a noserider. The tail shape is all-around compatible, from round pin to square.
