All-Around Basic Model "Singles"

SINGLES is an all-around basic fin that suits all categories of boards: single-fin shortboards, mid-lengths, logs, 2+1, and gliders.
If you're lost when it comes to choosing fins, we recommend starting with this all-around basic, SINGLES.

This is not a special pivot-shaped fin specifically for nose riders, but an all-around type with excellent turning and stability. Based on the universal basic template perfected in California in the 60s and still used worldwide today, Derek Hynd, who led the golden age of Captain Fin with Mitch Abshere, redesigned the fin by adjusting the base width, tip shape, and foil (thickness).

The 8.5-inch size is suitable for single-fin boards in the 7-8 foot range, as well as gliders with less rocker.

Fiberglass Characteristics

Fiberglass fins are made by layering the same cloth used in surfboards and hardening it with resin, then cutting out the shape and hand-sanding each one to finish. Due to the characteristics of fiberglass, the fin flexes appropriately during turns and then returns (rebounding force), which provides drive to the board.

An original case with the striking Aquatic Division logo is also included.

How to Choose

7.5”, 8.0”: For single fins in the 6-7 foot range, and as center fins for 2+1 setups.
8.5”: For single fins in the 7-8 foot range, and for glider-type boards with less rocker.
9.0”: For longboards in the early 9-foot range.
9.5”, 10.0”: Best for all longboards in the 9-foot range, and also when seeking maneuverability for nose riders. It is suitable for all tail shapes from round pin to square.
