"Singles" All-around Basic Model

SINGLES is an all-around basic fin that suits all categories of boards: single-fin shortboards, mid-lengths, logs, 2+1 setups, and gliders.
For those lost in choosing a fin, we recommend starting with this all-around basic, SINGLES.

It's not a special pivot-shaped fin dedicated to nose riding, but an all-around type excelling in turns and stability. Based on the universal basic template perfected in California in the 60s and still used worldwide, Derek Hynd, who led Captain Fin's golden age with Mitch Abshere, has newly designed it by adjusting the base width, tip shape, foil (thickness), and other aspects.

The 10.0-inch size is best for all 9-foot range longboards, and also when seeking turnability in a nose rider. It accommodates all tail shapes from round pin to square.

Fiberglass Characteristics

Fiberglass fins are made by laminating cloth used in surfboards, solidifying them with resin, cutting out the shape, and then hand-sanding each one to finish. Thanks to the characteristics of fiberglass, the fin flexes appropriately during turns and then springs back (rebound force), providing drive to the board.

An original case featuring the Aquatic Division logo is also included.

How to Choose

7.5”, 8.0”: For 6 to 7-foot single fins and as a center fin for 2+1 setups.
8.5”: For 7 to 8-foot single fins and glider-style boards with less rocker.
9.0”: For early 9-foot longboards.
9.5”, 10.0”: Best for all 9-foot range longboards, and also when seeking turnability in a nose rider. It accommodates all tail shapes from round pin to square.
